Lebanon considers federal education grant opportunity


The Authority has been given to Superintendent Marianne Bartley to apply for a School Climate Transformation Grant by The Lebanon School Board Monday night from the U.S. Department of Education.

It is another question whether she will choose to pursue.

Grant For: 5 Years

The five-year grant program would cover student's social, mental health need and emotional needs to get good academic outcomes. It is for the Implementation of programs.

This grant program is the part of the President Barack Obama's Healthy, Safe and successful program.

Grant Amount: $280 Million

This grant initiative program has been designed to remove violence in school according to the U.S Department of Education's official website.

The School Climate Transformation Program will give award about $24 million in grants.

Maximum Grant Amount: $750,000 per year up to five years

Average Grant : $200,000(According to the U.S. Department of Education's Website).

Date and Deadline: June 23
