The Authority has been given to Superintendent Marianne Bartley to apply for a School Climate Transformation Grant by The Lebanon School Board Monday night from the U.S. Department of Education.

It is another question whether she will choose to pursue.

The five-year grant program would cover student's social, mental health need and emotional needs to get good academic outcomes. It is for the Implementation of programs.

This grant program is the part of the President Barack Obama's Healthy, Safe and successful program.

Grant Amount: $280 Million

This grant initiative program has been designed to remove violence in school according to the U.S Department of Education's official website.

The School Climate Transformation Program will give award about $24 million in grants.

Maximum Grant Amount: $750,000 per year up to five years

Obama announces $600 million in grant programs to prepare workforce for jobs

A pair of grant programs has been announced by President Obama that aims at bringing academic institution and businesses closer. The program announced on Wednesday will help prepare Americans for jobs that may otherwise go unfilled.

After a review of the federal jobs programs by Vice president Biden the need for these programs was felt and $600 million budget already in federal budget was assigned to the grants program. The vice president Biden also joined Obama to make this announcement at the community college outside Pittsburgh.

The grant aims at an economy that facilitates the growth of the middle class instead being just a model for top down growth. The new job-training programs are required to keep in pace with rapid changes reshaping technology, the economy and the education system. These programs will help to dig out a more direct path between community colleges and private-sector jobs majorly in the advanced manufacturing, technology industries and health-care.

According to senior administration officials the challenge for schools and for industry today is to establish broadly accepted vocational training that will prepare the workforce for the next generation of jobs in a fast-changing economy. At the Community college of Allegheny County, Obama ensure that the programs designed by educators work and should be replicated across the country. The programs are in best interest of the country and the young generation as it trains them for jobs of current times and of the future. 

Such programs have been executed in the past by even immediate predecessors of the current president but this one is being called different by president Obama on the basis that it is “job driven” rather than dictated by training that may not be best preparing the workforce for the skills needed to secure jobs and a career path.

President Barack Obama has issued upward of 1,000 executive orders, more than any modern president.

The ruling

The custom of professional purchases goes back to our first chief executive, Henry California, though it was used occasionally through the first 100 decades of the partnership.

Executive purchases are formal activities taken by the chief executive guiding the govt and bureaucracies. They carry the power of law, but can be suspended or revised by future companies and are restricted in opportunity. For example, Obama cannot use professional purchases to increase the lowest salary for the entire country, but he can (and plans to) increase the lowest salary for employees employed under new govt agreements to $10.10 an hour.

The process grabbed under Ulysses S. Grants, who released 217 professional purchases, nearly 140 more than his forerunner Phil Brown, who himself almost more than doubled Abraham Lincoln subsequently, the past history owner.

After Grants, it became very common for presidents to issue more than 100 professional purchases. Actually, four presidents have surpassed 1,000 professional orders: Stuffed bear Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Calvin Coolidge and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
